Birddog

Birddog was the alias of Americana vocalist/songwriter Expenses Santen, a Lexington, KY local who spent many years drifting along the west coastline before finally settling in Portland, OR. There he was befriended by regional hero Elliott Smith, who decided to make the debut Birddog one “Killer” for the small Undercover label. Santen after that agreed upon to Chicago indie Glucose Free to discharge 1997’s seven-song follow-up The Trackhouse, The Valley, The Liquor Shop Drive-Thru; the full-length Ghost of the growing season appeared a calendar year later.
