Big Muff

Itaal Shur issued his 1st solo albums beneath the alias Big Muff (named following a traditional Electroharmonix guitar distortion pedal) — 1998’s Music From your Aural Exciter and 2000’s Aurally Exciting Remixes — a combined mix of funk, techno, and hip-hop which spawned the moderate U.K. strike “My Crazy Valentine.” Shur (who was simply raised mainly in Seattle and Connecticut, before relocating to Manhattan) inherited his like of music from his dad, who was simply a noted author of Israeli music and originally from Russia. Soon after shifting to N.Con.C., Shur became mixed up in experimental jazz globe of the Knitting Manufacturing plant prior to trying his hands at acidity jazz. Within the ’90s, Shur was a founding person in the group Groove Collective, showing up within the group’s 1st two albums, 1993’s self-titled debut and 1996’s We individuals, and co-penning the music “Ascension (Don’t Ever Question)” with Maxwell for the his strike debut, Maxwell’s Urban Hang up Suite. Shur released his 1st documenting under his actual name in 2001, Dairy & Honey: 10 Strikes to Bliss. Furthermore to composing and documenting music, Shur has generated his own designer development/production organization, which he desires will soon loosen up beyond music to broadcasting and pc animation.
