Big Grams

Big Grams is usually a collaboration between Greenwich, NY indie digital duo Phantogram (Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter) and rapper Big Boi (Antwan Patton) of Atlanta-based hip-hop duo OutKast, where the performers allow themselves to go out of their particular comfort areas and test out ideas they wouldn’t have explored using their personal projects. Both acts linked after Big Boi found out Phantogram’s music via an online pop-up advertisement; he published about their music online, as well as the duo, who counted OutKast as you of their biggest affects, responded enthusiastically. They ultimately met personally at a music event in California, and Big Boi asked the duo to utilize him.
