Barbara Schlick

Barbara Schlick’s early teaching and performance profession were extremely concentrated, both geographically and stylistically. After learning in her hometown in the Würzburg Hochschule für Musik, she qualified with Lohmann in Wiesbaden and Hilde Wesselmann in Essen. Concentrating on Baroque and Classical music, she’s performed the functions of several composers, including Albinoni, C.P.E. Bach, Eybler, Handel, Hasse, Keiser, Mozart, A.J. Romberg, A. Scarlatti, Telemann, and, most broadly, J.S. Bach. Broadening her encounters, she toured across the world, mainly in European countries and THE UNITED STATES, like a soloist in the Adolf Scherbaum Baroque Outfit, the Monteverdi Choir of Hamburg, and with Paul Kuentz and his orchestra, among additional groups. A decrease in touring allowed Schlick to come back to her hometown, where she shows in the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik. Her tone of voice is mainly heard around the Capriccio, Erato, and Virgin Classics brands.
