Babkas

The trio of altoist Briggan Krauss, guitarist Brad Schoeppach and drummer Aaron Alexander came together as BABKAS (which got its title by combining the very first letter of every musician’s first and last names) in 1992 in Seattle. All three music artists were students at that time. They will have since toured the Western world Coast from the U.S., Canada and (in 1996) European countries. Their ambitious music depends on close interplay, some organized sections and a lot of user-friendly improvising. The music artists, who’ve each also freelanced thoroughly, have recorded many colorful pieces for the Songlines label since their debut in 1993.
