Art Satherley

Perhaps one of the most important pioneers in neuro-scientific country music creation, “Uncle” Artwork Satherley (alternately Satherly) was also the just British citizen to become inducted in to the Nation Music Hall of Popularity. He was created in the British West Nation on the Somerset plantation; the son of the minister, Satherley been to Wisconsin in 1913 and started doing work for the Wisconsin Seat Company, which produced cabinets to accommodate Edison’s early phonographs. Satherley’s first proper work in the record market was advertising 78 rpm information of Ma Rainey and Blind Lemon Jefferson within the Paramount label. By 1930, he started doing work for Columbia Information and quickly became among the leading A&R males in nation music. Between 1938 to 1952, Satherley documented numerous performers, including Gene Autry, Bob Wills, Hank Cent, Lefty Frizzell, Carl Smith, Marty Robbins, and his preferred: Roy Acuff. After Satherley retired from Columbia in 1952, he required existence at a slower speed and sometimes got involved with tasks he was interested in. Satherley was elected towards the Hall of Popularity in 1971. He passed away on June 10, 1986, in Fountain Valley, CA.
