Quirky indie-rockers Arlo began life in the middle-’90s, when L.A. guitarists/vocalists Nate Greely and Sean Spillane shaped a music group known as Otto while in university. A revolving-door tempo section didn’t prevent the music group from liberating a split solitary within the Glimmerfed label; they finally resolved on bassist Shmedley and drummer Soup, both previously of the neighborhood outfit Holliston Halts. A name modification to Arlo adopted soon thereafter (honoring their favorite golf club soundman), as well as the music group authorized to Sub Play 2000. A 7″ solitary was issued past due that yr, preceding the first 2001 launch of their debut recording, Up Saturated in the Night. The next year revealed another chunk of pop rock and roll, Stab the Unstoppable Hero, also released on Sub Pop.
