Arcadia

During a brief hiatus in late 1984 and early 1985, three Duran Duran associates — lead singer Simon LeBon, keyboardist Nick Rhodes, and drummer Roger Taylor — produced Arcadia, a short-lived splinter group which provided an artier version of Duran Duran’s new wave synth pop. Arcadia released their just album, So Crimson the Rose, in 1985, soon after Duran Duran’s reputation reached a top. Consequently, the record became popular predicated on name identification alone, as do the one “Election Time,” which sailed in to the American and United kingdom TOP. After their short moment of achievement, the associates of Arcadia re-formed Duran Duran without guitarist Andy Taylor.
