Apophys

A technically savvy, sci-fi-minded loss of life metal outfit from holland with ties to God Dethroned, Prostitute Disfigurement, Detonation, and Toxocara, Apophys formed in 2012 across the abilities of vocalist Kevin Quilligan, drummer Michiel truck der Plicht, bass participant Mickeal Schuurman, and guitarists Sanne truck Dijk and Koen Romeijn. Deriving their name from near-Earth asteroid 99942 Apophis, which triggered a mix in 2004 after projections had been made that it might severely impact Globe in 2029, the hard-hitting quintet’s 2013 demonstration captured the ears of Steel Blade, who agreed upon the group the next year. Invoking brands like Cannibal Corpse, Immolation, and Suffocation, the band’s debut record, Prime Incursion, found its way to March 2015.
