Anthony Valadez

Anthony Valadez’s love for an eclectic selection of music was fostered by hearing KCRW, a general public radio station predicated on the campus of Santa Monica University. Elevated in the San Fernando Valley, he ultimately experienced DJ’ing at night clubs and later got radio gigs at California Condition College or university Northridge’s KCSN, Los Angeles’ listener-supported KPFK, and KCRW. In 2004, he ventured into remixing and creating by dealing with Carlos Niño’s AmmonContact and Nick Rosen. After he linked to the Record Breakin’ label, he released a 2008 solitary (which he was became a member of by onetime neighbor Soaring Lotus) and a 2009 recording, Audio/Visible: Sounds Influenced by EVERYTHING Visual. Then shifted to Plug Study, the label that he previously remixed AmmonContact, where he released Simply Going to (2012) and SEARCHING FOR (2014). Mostly calm, off-center fusions of R&B and rap, the albums presented guest looks from famous brands Damon Aaron, Kilometers Bonny, Jimetta Rose, and Belleruche’s Kathrin deBoer.
