Irvine produced a duo with Gerry O’Beirne, that was enlarged by adding Kevin Burke and Jackie Daly of De Danann. After O’Beirne was changed by Arty McGlynn, the music group called itself Patrick Road and documented three albums between 1986 and 1989. Using the group going for a hiatus in 1989, Irvine documented his second single record, Rude Awakening, as well as the multi-artist compilation East Blowing wind, a assortment of Bulgarian and Macedonian music.
