And All Because The Lady Loves

Produced in 1987, this Newcastle, England-born female duo, Nicky Rushton (b. Nicola Rushton; electric guitar/vocals) and Rachel Collins (bass/vocals), achieved vital acclaim on the united kingdom club circuit using their models of bittersweet like songs, coupled with a twist of politics awareness. Accompanied by basic, but effective, electric guitar and bass, their tracks had been offset with solid – nearly a cappella – vocal harmonies and punchy melodies. They toured with Microdisney and Michelle Stunned while marketing their 1988 EP, IN THE EVENT THAT YOU Risk Nothing, which resulted in an record on the tiny independent label Color It Crimson, which won wide-spread important acclaim. In 1989 they released their second record for the duo’s very own Newcastle-based label, Roundabout. Afterwards work noticed them employing support music artists, both live and in the studio room, remaining among the north east’s best-kept secrets. They liked surprising reputation in German-speaking European countries, particularly Switzerland. AND EVERYTHING Because The Female Loves performed their last concert in Switzerland in November 1994.
