Addison Groove Project

Created in 1997 by five fresh-faced Wellesley, MA senior high school seniors, the Addison Groove Task seized immediately upon the funkier root base from the jam strap aesthetic, pumping away Kool & the Gangcovers while slowly building the fusion jazz chops that could arrive at color their produces. The quintet of Brendan McGinn(acoustic guitar/vocals), Andrew Keith(drums), John Hall(bass), Ben Groppe (tenor sax) and Dave Adams (alto sax) quickly became a sextet with the help of keyboardist Rob Marscher. Following a self-titled launch in 1998, Addison Groove Task played frequently within the Boston region. They eventually lay out for any tour in 2000 along with a live recording, Wicked Live, made an appearance later that 12 months. Their following two released implemented in 2002 in quick succession: Allophone arrived in the springtime, followed in the wintertime by Wicked Live 2.
