Tank & the Bangas

Dynamic since 2011, Container & the Bangas certainly are a New Orleans, Louisiana-based R&B music group fronted by Tarriona Ball, aka Container, a singer and poet who are able to wail like Patti LaBelle, scold like Millie Jackson, and soliloquize like Jill Scott. The band’s instrumental primary, capable of moving from classic spirit and funk to hip-hop, reggae, and rock and roll, includes musical movie director and drummer Joshua Johnson, keyboardist Merell Burkett, keyboardist and bassist Norman Spence, and saxophonist and flutist Albert Allenback. They’re became a member of by a ensemble of supplemental music artists which has included history vocalists Angelika Joseph and Kayla Jasmine. Believe Container, their debut studio room album, premiered separately in 2013. It had been followed by a set of recordings that noted hometown gigs: THE BEST Bang: Live at Gasa Gasa in 2014 and Jazzfest in 2015. In 2017, Container & the Bangas reached a fresh audience if they prevailed over 6,000 fellow aspiring works to earn NPR’s third Tiny Table Competition. The vote, from a -panel of music artists and professionals, was unanimous.
