Gratiot Lake Street are an indie folk group based round the music of husband-and-wife duo Ben and Emaleigh Jensen. Created in ’09 2009 in North Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula, they started performing through the entire state, liberating their debut EP, Months, this year 2010. Primarily offering Emaleigh on business lead vocals and banjo, with Ben on classical guitar and percussion, they added a tempo section and additional additional instrumentation for his or her first full-length recording, 2012’s Stamp Fine sand Shores. The extended lineup toured to get the discharge and began focusing on their follow-up. The next 12 months, the Jensens relocated to Hampton, Virginia, where they finished their second recording, working again like a duo. Their sophomore LP, Go through This EASILY Don’t Make It House, premiered in 2014. Their music evokes richly shipped styles of travel, character, and introspection.
