Wendell B.

Wendell Dark brown is a Southern R&B musician whose inspirations being a vocalist range between Bobby Womack and Barry Light towards the relatively better wants of Luther Vandross and can Downing. Whether documenting under his name, as merely Wendell, or (mostly) as Wendell B., the St. Louis, Missouri indigenous has held the blues in R&B, unlike almost all commercial R&B which has circulated since his early-’90s debut. Dark brown emerged through the early ’90s using the one “Yu Wish 2 Play Me” and released his debut record, Make It Best for Ya, afterwards in the 10 years. From then on, he went completely independent along with his very own label, Smoothway. Among his self-released full-lengths are MEMORIES (2005), Love Lifestyle and Romantic relationships (2008), Touching My Southern Spirit (2010), Reach Kno’ Me… (2013), and ANOTHER 1 (2016).
