Andrew Baxter

Part of an early on integrated string music group, the fiddler Andrew Baxter initial recorded in 1928 within the Georgia Yellow Hammers, in that case was granted his own program with his boy Jim on vocals and electric guitar. The duo had been the first ever to record “K.C. Railroad Blues,” continued to record extra edges, including “The Moore Young lady,” through the past due ’20s (put together on Document’s String Rings 1926-1929), and performed around the region before ’50s when both passed away.
