Michael Cooper

Michael Cooper enjoyed quick achievement as a single vocalist following the demise of Con Funk Shun. His LP Like Can be Such a Crazy Game yielded a big success in “To Prove My Like,” which managed to get to number 3 for the R&B graphs. His follow-up launch, Just What I LOVE, in 1989, was also reasonably successful. Get Nearer included looks from jazz music artists Roy Ayers, Charles Tolliver, and Friend Montgomery and was released in 1992.
