John Braheny

Vocalist/songwriter John Braheny’s most well-known track is “Dec Desire,” recorded by Linda Ronstadt & the Rock Poneys for his or her second recording. An unreleased edition was also carried out by Fred Neil in the past due ’60s, and was released about 30 years down the road the compilation THE COUNTLESS Edges of Fred Neil. Braheny also do an interesting, incredibly obscure solo recording on the tiny Pete label in 1970 that included his personal edition of “Dec Desire.” The LP was quite eclectic and eccentric for the vocalist/songwriter genre, also made up of some off-kilter psychedelic-influenced materials without compromising a folk-rock foundation.
