Scott Billington

A house manufacturer and graphic developer using the Rounder Information label, Scott Billington had a submit countless modern roots-music releases. Blessed in Melrose, Massachusetts on Oct 27, 1951, he started his profession at Rounder through the past due 1970s; originally functioning primarily in the business’s design section, he received his first creation credit using the 1978 Johnny Shines record Hey Ba-Ba-Re Bop. Over time and decades to check out, Billington worked in a number of traditional music styles which range from blues to reggae to zydeco, amassing a big and amazing discography including albums from Clarence “Gatemouth” Dark brown, Solomon Burke and Buckwheat Zydeco, among countless others — certainly, given his several responsibilities in Rounder’s day-to-day functions, very few from the label’s produces neglect to reflect his impact for some reason, shape or type.
