The trance-rock/post-metal music group, Calendar year of No Light, comes from Bordeaux, France, where it had been formed in the summertime of 2001, and slowly fermented both on-stage and in rehearsal before recording its first demonstration tape in 2004. This gained the group a popularity for sounding like “The Get rid of playing sludge,” and opened up the entranceway for bandmembers Julien Perez (vocals, keyboards), Pierre Anouilh (electric guitar), Jérôme Alban (electric guitar, keyboards) Johan Sebenne (bass, consumer electronics), Bertrand Sebenne (drums, keyboards), and Mathieu Mégemont (drums, consumer electronics) to record Season of No Light’s debut record, Nord, in 2006. But after parting methods with Perez and luring Monarch!’s Shiran Kaidine (vocals, electric guitar) to displace him, Season of No Light spent another few years executing live or collaborating with various other bands on divide produces, and it wasn’t until 2010 they cobbled jointly their second record, Ausserwelt, towards the joy of fans and also critics.
