Yamantaka // Sonic Titan

Using a sound that combines Japanese music drama, performance art, and fuzzed-out psychedelia, self-styled “noh-wave” band Yamantaka//Sonic Titan certainly are a duo based out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Created by multi-instrumentalists Alaska B and Ruby Kato Attwood, both came collectively in 2007 with the thought of fusing their Asian history to their music. They place their musical and visible skills to function, carrying out mini-operas with sophisticated papercraft units around Montreal. The music group would eventually start to operate like a collective, combining musicians aswell as artists, outfit designers, and videographers to assist in their continuous fusion of visible and sonic mediums. In 2011, the music group delivered its 1st studio recording, YT//ST, that was released on Canadian label Psychic Handshake Recordings.
