WOMB

This San Francisco-based group comprised Rory Butcher (vocals/percussion), Greg Young (lead guitar), Karyl Boddy (keyboards/guitar/vocals), Roluf Stuart (saxophone/flute), Christopher Johnson (bass) and Ron Brunecker (drums). Their albums uncovered a penchant for improvisation and even though somewhat ill-focused, provided moments of motivation, especially Overdub, which included the expanded ‘Bad People’. Womb disintegrated through the early 70s with late-period member Shoes or boots Hughston (saxophone/flute) afterwards signing up for the Hoodoo Tempo Devils.
