WC and the Maad Circle

Following a dissolution of Low Account, a late-’80s West Coast MC/DJ partnership between WC and DJ Aladdin, the rapper created WC as well as the Maad Group and released a set of albums, Ain’t a Damn Thang Transformed (1991) and Suppress Servin’ (1995). The albums spawned several well-known singles, notably “Gown Code” (1991), “Western Up!” (1995), and “One” (1996). As well as the previous Ice-T affiliate marketer WC, the talented group also included DJ Crazy Toones, longtime Snow Cube maker Sir Jinx, and potential chart-topping pop-rapper Coolio. As the second option two were therefore occupied using their personal respective solo professions, the Maad Group dissolved, and WC made a decision to form a fresh, better group, Westside Connection, which also presented Snow Cube and Mack 10. That supergroup didn’t last lengthy either for comparable factors, though, and WC embarked on the promising solo profession using the powerhouse Def Jam Information.
