Indie synth-pop duo Vitesse teamed keyboardists Hewson Chen and Josh Klein, the second option a previous drummer using the music group Toulouse and a personnel writer using the cult-favorite regular paper The Onion. The duo 1st collaborated in 1997 on a bit for his or her Intro to Music Structure class in the University or college of Chicago; as Vitesse, they documented their debut LP A PARTICULAR Hostility during the period of some 36 hours in past due 1998, liberating the album around the Hidden Plan label the next spring. A 12 months later on, the lush, morose Chelsea 27099 showed up, once again on Hidden Plan. Their next work, What CAN’T BE, But Is…, can be jokingly known as a “amazingly long EP” with the music group, nonetheless it was in fact a full duration compilation of leftover paths and addresses. In nov 2002, the poppy You Gain Again Gravity premiered, an extraordinary record that recalled the classic noises of OMD and New Purchase.
