Vander Lee

In 2000, Vander Lee’s second album, Zero Balanço do Balaio, had success with “Românticos.” Lee has already established as particular guests in his displays Luís Melodia and Milton Nascimento and was among eight artists chosen to close the Novo Canto task at Canecão in 2000. He has already established songs documented by Rita Ribeiro (“Contra o Tempo”) and various other interpreters. Invited by Elza Soares (who included his “Subindo a Ladeira” in her displays), Lee toured with her in 2000 through Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Salvador, and Belo Horizonte. In 1989, after some years taking part in celebrations and playing regional pubs, Lee was honored on the Avaré Celebration (São Paulo). 2 yrs later, his structure “Atriz” (with Cláudio Campos) was documented by Alarme Falso. In 1996, he was honored at the Celebration Canta Minas (sponsored by it Globo of Minas Gerais) and “Hey Crioulo” and “Pra Te Embalar” had been documented by Gilvan Miguez. Lee’s initial solo record, Vanderly, premiered in 1997.
