The Atlanta-based trio Toy is led by singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist Alice Lei, and even though their sound has often been categorized as quirky alt-pop, a multitude of styles are combined together for a fascinating blend — blues, jazz, pop, rock, folk, world, and samples. Although Plaything have released just a single Compact disc so far, 2000’s Magic (released on the 3rd party Orchard label), the group offers appeared for the MTV Undressed soundtrack, performed shows through the entire U.S., and also have received a large amount of industrial radio airplay.
