Time in Malta

San Francisco’s Amount of time in Malta can be an extreme three-piece hardcore music group that combines components of melody, power, and rock right into a convincing, uplifting powerhouse comparable to the functions of Boy Units Fire, Quality, and Shai Hulud replete with manic crunch and indie sensibility alike. The music group created in 1997 when transplanted Indianapolis natives Todd Gullion (bass/vocals, previously of Burn off It Down), Chris Lyon (guitarist and co-owner of Frentic Information), and Sander Leech (drums) fulfilled up in the Bay Region. The trio started writing songs, ultimately producing a demonstration at Toast Studios, that was submitted to many independent record brands. Impressed by their powerful yet extreme approach, Escape Designer Records snatched in the music group and released their seven-song Create & Demolish EP in July 1999. The music group completed a brief tour of america to get the EP, showing up at several essential hardcore festivals aswell before settling directly into compose material because of their first full-length record. They paused briefly to provide one new melody along with a cover of Threadbare’s “In Effigy” to flee Artist, that was released because the Identify, Persist, Transcend 7″ one in past due 2000. In Feb of 2001, previous Burn off It Down vocalist Ryan Downey became a member of the group, relegating Gullion to bass and support vocal duties. Amount of time in Malta performed one present with this lineup, before Leech still left the music group and was changed by ONETIME Angels drummer Eric Alexander. Downey still left the group around once. Once again a three-piece, Amount of time in Malta documented a three-song demonstration in July 2001 before parting methods with Alexander and requesting Leech to rejoin the music group. They finally taken together their initial full-length album, ANOTHER Engine, in the summertime of 2002 on Identical Vision Records. By itself with the By itself followed 2 yrs later.
