Theodore Gottlieb

Comedian Theodore Gottlieb rose to prominence along with his humorous visitor spots on Television talk displays with Merv Griffin and Steve Allen, but he’s best-known for his regular performances in the David Letterman present through the ’80s. A German indigenous who was simply a prisoner of the Dachau focus camp before arriving in america, Gottlieb initially proved helpful being a janitor at Stanford College or university and a dockworker in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. Soon after relocating to Hollywood, Gottlieb arrived a small component in Orson Welles’ 1946 film The Stranger. After shifting to NEW YORK, he performed in displays in Greenwich Community clubs, creating a dark one-man present as the type Sibling Theodore. Gottlieb passed away on Apr 5, 2001, at a medical center in NY at age 94.
