The Trinidads

A Chicago group formed by Charles Colbert that performed in the later ’50s and early ’60s. Their short discography lists two singles released in 1959 on Formal Information, “Don’t State Goodbye” b/w “On My Content Method” (Colbert had written both edges) and “One Lonely Evening” b/w “When We’re Jointly.” Members emerged and went plus some thought the Trinidads progressed into the Developments, who documented on Smash and ABC Information, but this can not be confirmed. Colbert wasn’t an associate of the Developments, though it is possible they changed him and transformed the name when he deserted them following the Formal failures to sing using the Daylighters. Following the Daylighters, Colbert became a member of Gary & the Knight Lites, a racially blended group that progressed in to the American Breed of dog (“Flex Me, Form Me”).
