Dalibor Strunc

A master from the cimbalom, an extremely developed type of the cittern, Dalibor Strunc has continuing to expand around the musical vocabulary from the multi-stringed, fretless instrument. Forsaking the most common Middle Eastern and Western approach, Strunc continues to be rooted to the original Moravian design of playing the cimbalom, incorporating components of traditional and folk into his plans. Strunc inherited his musical abilities from his parents. His dad performed using the Radhost Folklore Outfit, while his mom sang with the feminine folk choir, Polajka. Taught to try out the cimbalom by Teacher Liebermannova, he quickly perfected the device. By age ten, he had been performing along with his father’s group. As a teenager, he worked well part-time with a number of ensembles including Kasava, MCM, BROLN, and OSB. Taking a posture as soloist using the Czech Condition Tune and Dance Outfit, Strunc located to the town of Prague. He continued to be in the town for the rest of the entire year, performing using the FOK Symphony Orchestra as well as the Prague Madrigalists. Shifting temporarily to European countries in 1989, he caused French vocalist Veronique Sanson. Time for his homeland in 1992, Strunc became initial cimbalom participant of BROLN (Brno Radio Orchestra from the Folk Musical instruments). He continuing to are a session participant, showing up with such performers as Javory of Hana, Petr Ulrychovi, and BROLN, aswell much like his own music group, Cimbal Traditional. Among the countless composers who’ve written music for Strunc are Zdenek Lukas, Bohuslav Rehor, and Martin Jukubicek. Strunc provides trained at Brno Conservatory since Feb 2000.
