The Thousand Dollar Playboys

Sweden’s Thousand Buck Playboys had been formed in 1996 by vocalist and guitarist Lars Bygdén (the newest lineup also features Jens Höglin on drums, Gotte Ringqvist on classical guitar, and Magnus Sedin on bass) while an alt-country clothing. After he noticed the music group playing inside a Stockholm golf club, Peter Svensson from the Cardigans financed the documenting of one thousand Dollar Playboys recording in nov 1997 at Tambourine Studios, but Svensson as well as the band were not able to discover a distribution offer for the task, finally putting your signature on a contract using the self-employed label Massproduktion in 1999. Another album was documented, this time around with Linus Larsson creating, and, including three paths through the Tambourine sessions, premiered as the self-titled The $1000 Playboys in 1999. The group’s following album, Stay!, made by Micke Herrstrom and documented live at Atlantis Studios in Stockholm, made an appearance in 2002.
