A mysterious music group whose discography was limited by one excellent one on 4AD, it’s uncertain who comprised days gone by A WEEK. Their lone discharge, “Raindance” b/w “Therefore NUMEROUS OTHERS,” premiered in a little pressing in 1981. Featuring scratchy guitars, sparse and angular rhythms, and moody vocals, both edges of the discharge sounded such as a drier edition from the Comsat Angels. Their whole recorded output can be acquired on the first 4AD compilation Natures Mortes, reissued within the U.K. with the label in the later ’90s.
