The Other Four

The Other 4 were a NORTH PARK garage music group that released three singles in 1965 and 1966, the final of these appearing in the Decca label. A lot of the group got played within the Man-Dells who released an unimpressive one in the wintertime of 1964/1965. ANOTHER Four’s 45s had been better but nonetheless rather unexceptional initiatives that were quite regular of what countless various other bands in america were doing at that time. The singles mixed between regular pop/rock garage; a far more slickly created tranquility pop/rocker (“THEY ARE what”); a tune using a folk-rockish riff that sounded a little just like the Monkees at their hardest-rocking (“Forever Female”); a pointless cover of Kenny Dino’s 1961 strike “Your Ma Stated You Cried inside your Sleep YESTERDAY EVENING”; along with a daintily organized tune (“HOW WILL YOU Tell a woman”) which was a little similar to the middle-’60s Beach Males’ productions, even though of course not really remotely within the same little league. Users Rick Randle and Norman Lombardo later on played collectively (and had been the songwriters for) the mind Police, a NORTH PARK psychedelic group that documented an obscure demonstration recording in 1968. All six songs from the Additional Four’s singles can be found as bonus songs on the Compact disc reissue of the mind Police’s demonstration LP, titled THE MIND Police, on Regular/Shadoks.
