The One AM Radio

The dark, melancholy desire pop sounds of the main one AM Radio came collectively in 1999 with vocalist Hrishikesh Hirway, and despite various collaborators, the band remained something of his one-man project over time. He was students at Yale and documented many EPs with Ted Leo and so on. In springtime 2000, he befriended another Yale college student, violin participant Jane Yakowitz, to donate to a 7″ he was documenting for Troubleman Unlimited. Both struck a chord, individually and expertly. Yakowitz became a member of Hirway for a few live looks, and inside a 12 months she was completely added to the main one AM Radio lineup. The Hum from the Electric powered Air designated the band’s appropriate debut in July 2002. The greater expansive and lush A Name Writ in Drinking water appeared 2 yrs later on through Level Aircraft, as well as the remix recording On the Shoreline from the Wide Globe adopted in early 2005. THE MAIN ONE AM Radio after that produced their Dangerbird Information debut in Feb 2007 using the self-produced This As well Will Move, and came back in 2011 using the lushly created Heaven Is usually Attached by way of a Slender Thread.
