The Nuchez

The Nuchez were a comparatively short-lived music group signed to Illinois-based Rembrandt Information label in 1966. The music group was known locally for having been the starting action for Paul Revere & the Raiders as well as other main national works playing Chicago, and constructed a great popularity along the way. Rembrandt co-founder Reggie Weiss agreed upon them up when he discovered they weren’t under agreement to anyone; these were only the next group over the label following the Nite Owls. The music group, led by guitarist Ricky Erickson, trim their one “START YOUR BRAIN” at Chess Information on South Michigan Ave. 1 day in August of 1966, combined with the remaining Rembrandt roster, and it had been released first because the label’s greatest prospect. “START YOUR BRAIN” b/w “B.G.’s One Eyes” was good analyzed in Cashbox, and it got airplay locally but hardly ever moved nationally, mainly due to Rembrandt’s insufficient distribution beyond the neighborhood level. The A-side’s primary virtue was Ricky Erickson’s sizzling hot lead electric guitar, a psychedelic workout constructed on surf electric guitar riffs, as the B-side was a far more generic instrumental monitor. The Nuchez split up in the springtime of 1967 when Erickson exited to become listed on the Lemon Drops, after seated in using the last mentioned group on the first recording program, for “I Reside in the Springtime.”
