The Morwells

Created in 1973, in Kingston, Jamaica, Western Indies, this group presented Maurice ‘Blacka’ Wellington (b. 19 August 1950, d. 12 Oct 2000; vocals, percussion) and Bingi Bunny (b. Eric Lamont, c.1956, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies, d. January 1994; vocals, acoustic guitar). Ahead of developing the group (the group’s name is really a contraction of Maurice Wellington), Wellington have been an archive salesman, and Lamont experienced documented with Bongo Herman for Derrick Harriott. In 1974, they released ‘Mafia Manager’ and ‘You SURELY GOT TO Be Holy’ independently Morwell Esquire label, and implemented these making use of their debut, Presenting The Morwells, in 1975.
