The Golden Filter

The Golden Filter are an enigmatic electro duo that started gaining a buzz off their remixes of Trim Duplicate and Peter Bjorn and John. Despite having their identities concealed, phrase of their music pass on after they delivered their first tune, a breathy, arpeggiated disco jam entitled “Solid Silver,” to some music websites in the summertime of 2008. Dummy mag agreed upon Ohio-born Stephen Hindman (creation/synths) and Australian transplant Penelope Trappes (vocals), after that based in NEW YORK, with their fledgling label immediately after, and both made plans to try out SXSW prior to going on tour using the Presets. In ’09 2009, the Dummy label released “Solid Silver” as a restricted 7″ with “Most liked Factors” as the B-side. The duo’s long-awaited debut record, Voluspa, premiered in Apr of 2010 on Brille Information. This was implemented in 2011 by Syndromes, a mini-album associated a brief film created with the music group along with Norwegian movie director Kristoffer Borgli. In 2014, the Golden Filtration system released three amounts of demos and previously unreleased materials titled Unselected Functions. The duo after that transferred to Optimo Music because of their 2015 EP, PS1103. Large Bastard, a split-EP with Morgan Hammer, made an appearance on sister label Optimo Trax around once. Still // By itself, the Golden Filter’s second correct album (and initial because the duo relocated to London), found its way to 2017.
