The Devil’s Interval

A cappella folk vocal group formed on the College or university of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2002 by three learners on the organization’s Folk and Traditional Music level training course, Jim Causley (b. 31 Oct 1981, Exeter, Devon, Britain), Lauren McCormick and Emily Portman. The group fascinated interest from some set up folk heavyweights, producing guest performances on albums by Martyn Wyndham-Read (the many artists project Tracks Links 2) and Waterson:Carthy. Following discharge of Causley’s single debut in 2005, the trio finished their own record, Bloodstream & Honey. Released by the end of 2006 by WildGoose Information, the album highlighted inventive rearrangements of hoary traditional tracks such as for example ‘The Well Below The Valley’ and ‘Longer Lankin’.
