The Counselors

Quintet from Columbus, Ohio, who all became neighborhood favorites and carved a name for themselves in the annals of psychedelic punk music during 1968 with “Like Go Circular,” compiled by guitarist-singer Doug Faiella — almost four mins of pure yellow metal, solid rhythm performing more than a fuzz-tone laden break that would’ve gotten one thousand imitators only if the Ironbeat label had gotten any serious distribution nationally. The various other members through the period when that one was cut had been Phil Robison on business lead vocals, Murray Hendrickson on drums and vocals, Denny Stith on the body organ, and Bob Condit playing bass and performing.
