The Chap

British electro-rock music group the Chap were shaped in North London by Claire Wish (keyboards, vocals), Johannes Von Weizsäcker (guitar, vocals, cello), Panos Ghikas (bass, violin, guitar, vocals), and Keith Duncan (drums). They released a 10″ EP, Fun, on Lo Recordings in Apr 2002. Their debut recording, The Horse, premiered on Apr 28, 2003, adopted on Sept 29, 2003 from the EP (Hats Off To) Dror Frangi. Their second full-length recording, Ham, premiered on June 27, 2005. Another EP, The Chop, arrived on June 11, 2007. Their third recording, Mega Breakfast, premiered in Europe on, may 19, 2008 and in the U.K. seven days later. They agreed upon to Ghostly International, which released Mega Breakfast within the U.S. on July 1, 2008 as their initial official American discharge. At exactly the same time, Wish took a being pregnant leave through the group and was changed temporarily by key pad player and vocalist Berit, who got previously played within a music group known as Karamasov with Von Weizsäcker, and caused Omo. After touring to get Mega Breakfast time, the Chap documented their fourth record, Well Done European countries, a sleeker, even more electronically inclined group of tracks that premiered in middle-2010. The confidently called collection WE HAVE BEEN the Best came past due in 2011. Buying problem, the band’s following record, 2013’s WE HAVE BEEN Nobody, contains entirely irony-free tracks. Two years afterwards, the Chap came back with The Present Must Move, which skewered Europe’s politics situation and rock and roll music’s capability to be a realtor of change.
