The Babies

The Infants were born out of the friendship between Cassie Ramone from the Vivian Girls and Kevin Morby of Woods. Throughout a break in the schedules of both much-loved Brooklyn sound pop rings in the wintertime of 2008, Ramone and Morby distributed a flat and made a decision to start a music group. The theory was to capture the first, stress-free times of playing music before these were both in groupings that had obtained some success and made accompanying stresses. Despite writing several songs, nothing very much came of the theory until the following wintertime when both rings again acquired a break. With the help of Ramone’s previous bandmate in Bossy, Justin Sullivan, on drums, the trio started writing tracks in earnest that fulfilled somewhere within the sugary fuzz from the Vivian Women as well as the ramshackle indie rock and roll of Woods. After bassist Nathanael Stark became a member of the music group, the quartet — right now named the Infants — started playing displays in the summertime of 2010. Documenting when they may find an opportunity, the Infants released singles for the tiny Wild Globe and Make chaos labels before liberating their self-titled debut recording for Shrimper in Feb of 2011. The music group toured for a lot of the year, ultimately changing Stark with fresh bassist, Brian Schleyer. In early 2012, they remaining their Brooklyn house to record their second recording in sunnier LA. The effect was THE HOUSE for the Hill, released on Woodsist past due in the entire year.
