Thaione Davis

Chicago MC and DJ Thaione Davis was created Thomas Martin in 1978. Something from the city’s southside Princeton Recreation area neighborhood, he started breakdancing at age six and started rapping (beneath the name Tommy T.) at age eight. After graduating senior high school he went to the College or university of Illinois, developing one-half from the hip-hop duo Esoteric Deejayz. Davis came back to Chicago in 2000, becoming a member of the neighborhood rap collective the Nacrobats and collaborating with Pugslee Atomz and DJ Verve within the WHPK series CTA Radio, which around this composing remains among the Windy City’s longest-running & most thrilling hip-hop showcases. In 2001 he journeyed to European countries, hopscotching from Amsterdam to Paris to London fainting CD-R copies of his single debut, the five-song EP Improvement. Hamburg-based label Hong Kong Recordings decided to give the disk a proper launch, with Davis adding instrumental paths and remixes to flesh out the task right into a full-length LP. In 2003 the Nacrobats also released their debut work, All Methods, on Chicago’s Birthwrite label, but throughout a promotional tour of California the group break up, and Davis came back home to continue focus on his next single work; dubbed Scenario Renaissance: 1917 Release, the finished recording made an appearance on Birthwrite in June of 2004.
