T. Hardy Morris

Best known while the guitarist and vocalist using the psych-influenced, defiantly Southern hard rock-band Deceased Confederate, Georgia-born T. Hardy Morris (also billed occasionally as Hardy Morris) in addition has produced a name for himself like a single artist so that as a gifted collaborator dealing with many side projects. Shaped in Augusta, Georgia in 1997 by Thomas Hardy Morris and longtime friend Walker Howle, Deceased Confederate slowly progressed from a jam music group known as Redbelly that preferred 20-minute improvisations to a tighter, even more ambitious group thanks a lot partly to Morris’ developing skills being a songwriter. Deceased Confederate landed an archive offer in 2007, and because of regular touring and a small number of strong information became among the leading rings on the root base rock and roll underground. Despite Deceased Confederate’s busy plan, Morris had plenty of musical suggestions to bypass, and in 2011, his friend John McCauley of Deer Tick asked him to become listed on an random band offering Ian St. Pé from the Dark Lip area, Steve Berlin of Los Lobos, Bryan Dufresne of Six Finger Satellite television, and McCauley’s bandmate Robbie Crowell. Dubbing the task Diamond Carpets (or D. Carpets for brief), the quintet released a self-titled debut recording in 2012 another LP, Makeup products, in 2015. In 2013, Morris experienced accumulated several tunes that didn’t match Deceased Confederate or Gemstone Carpets, and he opted to create his first single recording; Audition Tapes, acknowledged to T. Hardy Morris & the Clothing, exposed a different part of his music, having a looser and even more languid firmness than he demonstrated in Deceased Confederate. In 2015, Morris decreased a second single effort, Drownin’ on the Mountaintop, this time around beneath the group name Hardy & the Hardknocks.
