The Afro-Caribbean music traditions of French Guyana are incorporated in to the dance-inspiring music of Cayenne-born and Paris-based singer, songwriter and guitarist, Sylviane Cedia. Although she primarily blended a number of designs, including compas, reggae, mazurka, fox trot, carnaval, soca and cadence, she’s increasingly centered on the Zouk custom. A former business lead vocalist for the Guianese folk ballet troupe, Oyampis, Cedia offers found sustained success like a soloist. Her recording, Bab’leve –I’m Sense Blues, reached the very best of the globe music graphs and became a global strike in 1986. Playing acoustic guitar and performing from age nine, Cedia produced her debut at a normal music event in St. Lawrence de Marconi. Her profession was further advertised after she earned a renowned songwriting competition in Cayenne. After many trips with Oyampis, Cedia remaining to go on a single career. Liberating her debut single recording, in 1974, she embarked on a Western tour with ladies from France, holland and Britain. Her first stop by at Paris got a profound impact. Falling deeply in love with the French town, she became established to create Paris her house. Although she currently kept a Bachelors level in technology, she used successfully to review in the Conservatoire de la Chanson de Mireille in Paris. Since shifting to Paris, Cedia offers remained active like a musician. Furthermore recording nine amazing albums, and something compilation, she’s performed with her music group in Louisiana, Montreal, the Ivory Coastline, Egypt, Dakar and Nigeria.
