Space Probe Taurus

Although their name was inspired by an obscure cult movie from 1965, the principle musical inspiration behind Sweden’s Space Probe Taurus is that same decade’s psychedelic acid-fuzz space rock and metal, as resurrected and synthesized in the 1990s by New Jersey’s infamous Monster Magnet. Space Probe Taurus had been founded circa 1993 by drummer Sundler and bassist/vocalist Enberg, but didn’t actually achieve escape speed until the appearance of vocalist/guitarist Sjöberg nearly five years afterwards and, completing their most steady lineup in 2000, guitarist/vocalist Eronen. At that time, Space Probe Taurus stepped up their Scandinavian touring initiatives as well as the recordings of regular self-released demos and EPs, aswell as many compilation and tribute record tracks, but extremely have however to record a full-length LP.
