Ishtar

Produced in 2003, Ishtar certainly are a Flemish folk group founded by Soetkin Baptist and Michel Vangheluwe who record in Dutch, English, and French. Following discharge of their 2005 debut record TroubAmour, that they had their industrial breakthrough if they had been voted before more familiar brands Paranoiacs and Nelson to represent Belgium in the 2008 Eurovision Tune Competition. Although their entrance, “O Julisso,” just completed 17th in the semi-finals, it became a high 10 hit within their homeland, as do its parent record. This year 2010, Baptist still left to pursue a single profession and was changed by both Hanelore Muyllaert and Isabelle Dekeyser for 2011’s Tussen Donker en Licht.
