The Ohio-based jam band the Snapdragons (singer/guitarist Noel Rockwood, bassist Jeff Pistana, and drummer Sean Furlong) formed in the past due ’80s. Although much like other groups showing up at that time (nearly as poppy as the Spin Doctors nor as noodley as Phish, nearer to the folk-poppy audio the Dave Matthews Music group would later consider into the graphs), the Snapdragons jumped the weapon a bit; putting your signature on to Atlantic Information, they released their self-titled debut in 1991, a couple of years before bands such as this began getting media publicity and airplay. The record was a flop as well as the Snapdragons split sometime afterwards. Furlong shifted to LA in the first ’90s and became a member of the Trent Reznor protégés Prick, whose self-titled record arrived in 1995.
