Slight Return

Produced in the past due ’90s in Darmouth, Nova Scotia, Small Return started like many youthful bands do. Vocalist Jonathan Samuel and Devon Code-McNeil fulfilled when they had been nine, signed up for violin class. Following that, the camaraderie blossomed as did their musical passions. In senior high school the two joined up with pushes and added bassist Chris Pennell and guitarist Matthew Kennedy. Using a audio resembling an early on Radiohead and, probably more accutely, SUNSHINEY DAY PROPERTY, the group released a five-song EP in 1999, The Peril of Aries. The group, known because of their uncomfortable and off-kiltered tempo and agreements, the group performed on the 2000 East Coastline Music Honours. In 2001, the group released their debut full-length record, YOU AREN’T Our Demographic, on Matlock Information. The group in addition has opened up for Moneen as well as the Weakerthans.
