Shire

This American hard rock quartet was formed in 1983 by David Anthony (vocals), Alan St. Lesa (electric guitar), Mick Adrian (bass) and Steve Ordyke (drums). They secured an archive agreement with Enigma the next year. Inspired by Dokken, Kiss and Truck Halen, their debut was a relatively formularized assortment of mid-paced rockers that eventually lacked distinction. Made by Don Dokken and Michael Wagner, the record was eagerly expected, but proved a significant disappointment when it came. Bit more was heard about Shire in its wake.
